California and a cold

The fires in Southern California have been promoted in Dutch news from foreign- to headline news. Understandable, with a half million people on the run and 1300 houses already burned to the ground. I have spent some time in San Diego years ago, so that city is a bit special for me. And of course SD’s Balboa park is simply an magnificent place that should never ever go away. But i’m more concerned with the people living in Southern California and especially with a friend of mine who lives in LA at the moment. She hasn’t replied my e-mail yet, which is understandable. But i do hope she will show a sign of life soon. I’m worried.

Right now i am enjoying my fourth severe cold of this year. I’m coughing like hell, the snot just won’t stop pouring out of my nose and there is that very minor but very irritating headache that simply won’t go away. According to some of my colleagues it has to do with the fact that i don’t eat any meat apart from fish now and then. “Eat half a horse and you will feel a lot better!”

Thank you, but no thank you.

And sorry that i have been changing the layout over and over again. I think i have finally found a template that i want to use for the next few years. I’m not making any promises though.
