I’ve got a brandnew pc at work. It runs on Vista. Believe it or not, i wasn’t too excited. My old Windows 2000 workhorse isn’t perfect, but it does what it is supposed to do.
In the end the experience wasn’t too bad. My first impression is that Vista is a great step forward to the Linux standard. It looks great, it is very stable and half of the printers don’t work.
If it was free and didn’t need 40% of the 2 gigs of RAM right after starting up, Vista would be as good Ubuntu.
Keep up the good work Microsoft!
