According to this article, our government is looking into if and how they can put a stop to all those people who ride their bicycles while listening to their MP3 players.
Apparently cars with boomboxes are not a problem.

I always have my headphones on when I ride, I couldn’t imagine riding without them. I guarantee you that when I am on the road, I am far less of a hazard that some jackass with his stereo cranked way the hell up in his car, and his cell phone jammed in his ear. I actually have to pay attention, I don’t have a car doing the work for me and therefore I can’t just go on auto pilot.
