Well done Clarence!

With the conclusion of the Champions League final between AC Milan and Liverpool, it is the end of another football season in Europe.

It might not have been the most exciting final ever. But Milan deserved to win this. They were the team who started off the match with their best eleven players. Liverpool left their best striker on the bench until the last 18 minutes of the match. It might have been a different story if Crouch would have played the whole game.

Looking at it from a Dutch perspective, it was really cool to see no less then three Dutch players play in the most important game of the season. Kuyt and Zenden should be proud that they ever made it to a final. Clarence Seedorf won his fourth Champions League today. No other Dutch player can claim to have won so many European titles. It is high time that we Dutch give this man the respect he deserves. Making him captain of the national team would be a good start.
