The International Four Days Marches Nijmegen or “Nijmeegse vierdaagse” is a four day walking event that takes place every year in the Nijmegen area. Not this year. After the first day it has been cancelled. It is too freaking hot. The heat is killing. Literally.
A great of number of walkers and spectators fainted in the heat. 30 of them had to be revived. For two of them it was too late; they passed away.
