The TU Delft (a university for Dutch techies) have come up with a new p2p program: Tribler. The program is technically perfect for illegal filesharing, the only problem is that Tribler users are not anonymous. On the contrary, Tribler users have to make us much friends as possible. Not only do Tribler friends share files, they also share bandwidth. Sharing bandwidth makes the streaming of high quality media possible and that has aroused the interest of Dutch public broadcasting companies. They want to use Tribler to give people access to thousands and thousands of television shows, documentaries, etc.

Work dammit!

Sharon Dijksma, one of the main rising stars of the Dutch Social Democratic Party, wants to get tough on women who graduate at the university, only to pursuit a career as housewife and mother later on. Dijksma thinks that that is a waste of money. “If you have enjoyed an education that has been payed for by the taxpayer, it is unacceptable that you don’t use that knowledge in a professional career afterwards”. Therefore female students who drop the books and grab the mop, should pay back a part of the tax-money that was spend on her studies. Dijksma also pleads for more quality nurseries where scholarly moms can leave the kids while she is trying to achieve higher goals.

If Dijksma gets her way, the goal of emancipation (the right to be who you want to be) will be only left for those who can afford it. For less fortunate ladies, joining the rat-race will become mandatory.

Muslim United - Gay Futebol 4-0

Yesterday eleven muslims played a game of football against eleven gays. The Muslim kicked some serious gay butt and left them begging for mercy with a 4-0 score.

The match was organized in the hope that the tension between muslim and gays would ease a little. A lot of young Dutch muslims have a huge problem with the deviating sexual preferences of some of their fellow countryman. Free tip from me: next time select a Dutch gay muslim and let him play the first half for the gays and the next one for the muslim side.
