I think that after Katrina everyone who doesn’t live in a third world country, should realize two things.
We have a environmental problem.
We are the environmental problem.
Katrina does not stand on itself. Logos sums it up pretty well.
And please remember that Bill Clinton was also against the Kyoto treaty, a treaty that probably isn’t nearly enough to get things done. But at least it is a start. I’m not sure if the same goes for the lack of help or lack of funds for preventing the levees to fail.
Anyway, for the time being, be ware that everyone who drives a car, and is accounting me for smoking a cig, should be prepared for a verbal kick in the butt or at least some fierce scolding. You have been warned.
